A hearty crew of 12 ignored the inclement weather and made a huge difference to the tidiness of the gardens on Saturday. As a team, we worked to clean up the path and adjacent beds. A very satisfying outcome!
A less rewarding task, but important nonetheless, was a trash collection effort (including a golf club?!?) As a gardener I resent that we have to spend our time picking up trash tossed into the gardens from the street or left on the ground a few meters from a bin. Of course in this blog I am preaching to the choir so I will limit my comments to saying - thank you to our volunteers for cleaning up after the inconsiderate slobs.
