In the last week we acquired two new features which greatly enhance our gardens. Firstly, an informational plaque was installed in the south garden. The plaque gives an extensive background of the Compton Terrace Gardens along with photographs which show how they have evolved over their nearly 200 year history.
Looking to the future, a very talented, creative group of volunteers designed and constructed an enclosure made from salvaged pallets. This enclosure will be used to place leaves collected from our gardens (anyone who has volunteered in our gardens knows that we have a LOT of leaves!) After 12 - 18 months, this will result in our own supply of leaf mould which we can use for mulching and soil improvement throughout the garden.
Please stop by the gardens to have a glimpse into the past and the future!
